No Crack Roast

The coffee completed its structure. The confirmation wasn't the crack.

In conventional roasting, First Crack is used as a primary maturity signal — the audible event that marks a structural transition in the bean. A No Crack Roast documents a different condition: the coffee reached its observed cup maturity before, or without relying on, that event as confirmation.

This is not an absence of development. It is a different sequence of development. The cup shows readiness. The crack is not the signal that confirms it.

For the observer: the cup is the instrument of confirmation here, not the roasting event.
