Pre-Crack Maturity
The coffee was already done. The crack came after.
Pre-Crack Maturity documents a condition in which the cup shows its most complete sensory expression before First Crack occurs. The structural maturity observed in the cup precedes the roasting event conventionally used to mark it.
This phenomenon requires Roast Event Asynchrony as a precondition — the cup and the machine are not reading the same clock.
For the observer: what the cup shows at this stage is not early or incomplete. It is already the signal.
