Roast Event Asynchrony

Events and maturity do not necessarily happen at the same time.

Roast Event Asynchrony documents a condition in which the timing of conventional roast events — such as first crack — does not align with the point at which the coffee actually achieves maturity in the cup. The machine records an event. The cup tells a different story.

This condition is a precondition for both No Crack Roast and Pre-Crack Maturity. When the event and the cup diverge, the cup becomes the primary instrument of confirmation.

For the observer: the roast event is a data point, not a verdict.
